GuidesFor AgenciesApplying
Every agency on Motherhunt starts the same way: by applying as an organization. Applying creates your agency account, links your wallet, and — once approved — unlocks the market so your team can discover, evaluate, and bid on talent.
This guide walks through who applies, what you submit, how approval works, and what to do the moment you are in.
Who applies
An agency is an organization, and an organization needs an owner. That owner is the headbooker:
- Headbooker: the person who submits the application, creates the agency, and owns its wallet. They place bids and sign transactions on the auction.
- Bookers: team members you invite after approval. You do not add them during the application — see the Bookers guide for how that works.
If you are joining an agency that already exists, you do not apply — a headbooker invites you. Applying is only for standing up a brand-new agency.
What you submit
The application asks for the details that let the platform verify your agency and pay you correctly:
- Agency name, location, and a contact email
- Your agency wallet — the onchain address that receives settlements and signs bids
- Verification details: links to your existing website or social presence so reviewers can confirm you are a real agency
- Your casting focus, so the right talent surfaces for your team
Take a moment to get the wallet right — it is the address tied to every deal your agency closes.
How approval works
Applications are reviewed before an agency goes live. The flow is short:
- You submit the application with your details and wallet.
- The team reviews your verification links to confirm a legitimate agency.
- On approval, your agency account activates and the market opens for your team.
If anything is missing, you may be asked to resubmit with clearer verification. Once approved, you keep full control of your agency profile and wallet from your account.
After you are approved
Approval is the start, not the finish. Set your agency up to work from day one:
- Claim your agency wallet address immediately after approval: until you set it, any wallet that knows the agency ID can claim it. That unauthorized onchain claim does not grant access to the offchain agency account or profile. There are no funds, bids, or settlement transactions on the new agency yet, so open agency wallet settings, enter the correct wallet, and save it before you do anything else. See the Web3 basics guide for the why and how.
- Invite your team and assign roles — see the Bookers guide.
- Build shortlists of candidates worth tracking — see the Shortlists guide.
- Evaluate talent against your casting brief — see the Evaluating guide.
- Place bids and close deals — see the Bidding guide.
