GuidesGeneralWeb3

Motherhunt runs on-chain, so your wallet is your account. Every deal, payout, and karma reward is recorded on the blockchain, which means setting up a wallet is the first thing scouters and agency teams do. Models follow the profile flow instead. This guide takes you from no wallet to a verified, connected account.

If you have not read it yet, the What is Motherhunt guide explains why the platform is built this way.

What you need

Before you connect, make sure you have:

  • A self-custodial wallet — we recommend MetaMask as a browser extension or mobile app.
  • A secure place to store your recovery phrase, offline and private.
  • A small amount of the network's native token to cover gas fees.

Setting up your wallet

If you are new to Web3, get a wallet ready in a few steps:

  1. Install MetaMask and create a new wallet.
  2. Write your recovery phrase on paper and store it offline — never share it with anyone, and never type it into a website.
  3. Add the network Motherhunt uses when prompted on first connect.
  4. Fund the wallet with a little native token for transaction fees.

Your recovery phrase is the master key to everything. Motherhunt will never ask for it, and no support agent ever needs it. Anyone who asks for your phrase is trying to steal your account.

Connecting to Motherhunt

Once your wallet is ready, connecting takes seconds. Open the platform, choose Connect Wallet, and approve the request in MetaMask. You then sign a short message — a free, gasless signature that proves you own the address without spending anything.

  1. Open the Motherhunt platform and select Connect Wallet.
  2. Pick your wallet and approve the connection request.
  3. Sign the login message to prove ownership of the address.

Verifying your account

Connecting proves you control a wallet; verification links that wallet to a real, accountable account. Scouters and agency teams use that check to keep communication trustworthy before they work together.

Gas, payments, and tokens

On-chain actions cost a small gas fee, paid in the network's native token. Deal payments and payouts move through smart contracts, and the platform's own economy runs on the MyDaogs token. To understand the money side end to end, read:

Staying safe

A few habits keep your account secure:

  • Keep your recovery phrase offline and never share it.
  • Double-check the URL before connecting your wallet.
  • Review every transaction in your wallet before approving it.
  • Disconnect on shared or public devices when you finish.
