Voting rules for scouters

Before a scouted model lot goes live for auction, the scouter community decides whether it belongs on the market. Voting is how scouters protect the quality of every lot the platform offers.

This guide walks through who can vote, what you are voting on, how a decision is reached, and the karma you earn for getting it right.

What you vote on

Every new lot a scouter creates enters a VOTING phase before it becomes active. During this phase, the community reviews the lot and votes to either approve it for auction or reject it.

You will only ever see lots created by other scouters — your own lots are excluded from your voting list, and you cannot vote on them.

Scouter-facing voting surfaces show only the lot nickname, never the model's private name or contact details.

Who can vote

Voting is gated by your onchain karma score. You must hold at least the ARCHER rank — a karma score of 5 or higher — to cast a vote.

Eligibility is checked live onchain at the moment you submit your vote, not from a cached score, so make sure your scouting wallet is connected and matched before you begin.

Casting your vote

Open the voting page, review the lot details, and cast a single approve or reject vote. Each scouter may vote once per lot, and a vote cannot be changed once submitted.

Your vote is recorded by an onchain transaction, so confirm it in your wallet to complete it.

When voting ends

A lot does not wait on a fixed timer. The first side to reach the required number of votes wins immediately, and voting finalizes on the spot.

At most ten community votes are collected per lot. A platform admin may also cast a single decisive vote that finalizes voting at once, overriding the community count.

Rewards and penalties

Voting well pays off. If your vote matches the final outcome, you immediately earn +1 karma. Votes on the losing side earn nothing.

The scouter who created the lot gains +1 karma when it is approved and loses 1 karma when it is rejected, so the community's decision directly shapes every scouter's reputation.

After the decision

An approved lot moves to ACTIVE status and opens for bidding. A rejected lot is canceled and never reaches the market.
